its been a long day!

I'm feeling absolutely exhausted, it has been such a long day mounting portfolio work and I haven't even finished it yet, seriously feel like crying but I know that it will be worth it in the end. Today i have realised that I am a slight perfectionist when it come to presenting my work, it all had to be prefect, I think I have spent more time measuring my boards then arranging my work! hahaha things that you do for uni hey!! I will post some pictures of what my mount boards look like when I have finished them and have a little bit of time to myself!!

At this moment in time I am taking a small break from writing my answers for my Westminster application. My brain is literally hurting!! I'm over thinking my answers purely because I want them to be perfect but I've decided that I am just going to draft a few and work from their, I have a lot of support and unfortunately for those people they are going to be bombarded with drafts so that they can check my grammar! oppsy.

What a day!

Today 08.01.2013 has been the best and most terrifying day of my life! I have sent my application off to UCAS and have just been awaiting interviews and details for my university choices and today I got the ALL important e-mail!.....

Westminster University.
My aim is to get into this university to study Fashion Design, after having the talk from the course director (Mr Andrew Groves), I imediatly fell in love with the sound of the course and the university. Before I spoke to him I was set on not applying to London due to my condition, however, my mum and tutor said why not have a wild card in my application?

Anywaysss... im slightly side tracking but I was sent my questionnaire and requirements to send them for a chance of getting an interview. OMG! This is the most exciting and yet terrifying news I have had! The other Universities I have applied for have asked me to go for an interview.... NERVE RACKING! And I guess I'm getting slightly scared at the thought of this all becoming so real. I mean I'm going to be moving away from home. Luckily my lovely mother has taught me too cook and use the washing machine, among other things but their the vital necessity for being a student right?

Also to add to my amazing news, I received an email today saying that I have won a Clothes Show Live competition and will be receiving 1of 25 personalized jackets, just before I went for an amazing lunch with my mum at Ginza. I love that place! if your ever in Nottingham I suggest you go. It's a Japanese restaurant where they cook your food right in front of you and it is just delicious!

To end the day I went to the gym and for a nice relaxing swim and sauna at David Lloyds and I got to wear my new bikini, it looks AMAZING and I love it. hehehe

Revenge

So in the UK Revenge has just restarted and what can I say apart from, OMG! I adore this show, it has so many twists and story lines to follow that it never gets boring and Season 2 has not led to disappointment. Who would have thought that Victoria was still alive and even better working with the man that tried to kill her. And poor Charlotte, is stuck in a family who tell lies and she is caught in a web of her parents making, with Emily as her closest ally and unknown sister who knows whats to come of this alliance. I can not wait until next Monday, although I am slightly tempted to have a look at spoilers I shall try to refrain. If you have missed Revenge seriously I suggest you go and catch up!

My First Post!

Hi, I'm Melanie and I've been meaning to start a blog for ages but I've just been putting it off as I felt that I had a lot to learn. Therefor my new years resolution was not to be scared and to actually make one, so here goes nothing!!
 
My blog is going to be about my journey into all things FASHION (and anything else I find interesting)! I aspire to become a designer and in years to come I want to be able to look back at all the things that I have achieved.
